It’s been 9 months today since my best friend passed away after being killed instantly in a violent horrific accident by a drunk driver speeding down the street after 2:00 AM. The accident threw and rolled her car hundreds of yards away from the point of impact and nearly killed the drunk driver’s unrestrained passenger. She suffered serious injuries after being ejected and landing all the way where my best friends car landed. This picture was taken the day she died. worked as a retention counselor where she passionately gave all her efforts to keep kids in school and many times be their biggest support. Not only was she taken from her family and friends, she was taken from the San Antonio community she served and where she lived all her life. A devastating loss to so many all due to one poor decision of a man and no one who stepped up to prevent him getting behind the wheel. The intoxicated driver suffered a dislocated hip. Barbara Martinez was pronounced on the scene at 2:41 AM on the 7th of May.
